What you can ask for#
- Access
- To know whether we hold personal information about you, and to see it.
- Correction
- To fix personal information that is wrong or incomplete. Account holders can change their brand details themselves in the brand profile. Your name and email come from your sign-in provider and are shown read-only in Settings today; to change either, write to us using this route and we do it for you. We say so rather than pointing you at a control that does not exist.
- Deletion
- To have your account and its content deleted, or specific personal information removed, subject to records we must keep (billing, abuse) — we will tell you what those are.
- A copy (portability)
- Your content — brand profile, uploaded assets, drafts and posts — in a reasonable, commonly used format.
- Objection or restriction
- To object to, or ask us to pause, a use of your information that rests on our legitimate interests, such as analytics.
- Opt out
- Of any sale or sharing of personal information — Glowwer does neither, so there is nothing to opt out of today; if that changes, this page will offer the control.
How to ask#
Signed in? Open a request right here: each button below files a ticket for that right under your account, which we answer at your account email. Nothing is changed or deleted the moment you tap one — a person handles every ticket, and deletion is confirmed with you first.
You are not signed in. Sign in to make a request from your account, or email us from the address you used with Glowwer — we verify every request against that address before acting on it, and we reply there.
If you built a brand without an account, its record and posts become eligible for deletion seven days after it was created and are removed when our cleanup runs; its stored images may remain until we remove them by hand. It is linked to no account, though an email or phone number you typed into it stays with it until it is removed.
Or email privacy@glowwer.com with the subject “Privacy request” and tell us:
- which right you are exercising (from the list above);
- the email address on your Glowwer account, if you have one — or, if you do not, how your information reached us (for example, a business website we read, or a message you sent);
- anything specific you want (a particular brand, a date range, a particular record).
You can also write by post to the address under Operator and contact. There is no instant self-service deletion switch: the Delete account button in Settings brings you to the deletion request on this page, and every deletion is confirmed with you and carried out by a person.
Someone can ask on your behalf (an authorised agent) if they show us they are permitted to, and we will still confirm with you directly.
What happens next#
- We confirm receipt by reply, and tell you if we need anything to verify it is you.
- We verify. For account holders, writing from the email on the account is normally enough; we may ask you to confirm from that address or, for sensitive requests, to sign in. Without an account we match what you tell us against what we hold. We never ask for a password.
- We act within the time the law that applies to you allows — and we aim for well within it — and tell you what we did. If we cannot do all of what you asked (for example, records we must keep), we explain which part and why.
- No penalty. We do not charge for requests, and we do not treat you differently for making one. If a request is clearly repetitive or excessive we may say so, and explain.
- If you disagree with our answer, reply and say so; you may also complain to the data-protection authority where you live.
What deletion covers#
Deleting your account removes your account record, your brands, brand profiles, drafts, posts, plans, channel connections on our side, messaging bindings and message history, and disconnects your social accounts from Glowwer. Uploaded and generated image files are removed from storage as part of handling the request (by hand today — no automatic file clean-up exists yet, so tell us if a file is still reachable afterwards). Posts already published to a platform stay on that platform; delete them there.
We keep what the law requires (billing records) and what safety requires (records of abuse), and copies may persist in routine backups for a limited time before they cycle out. Data already sent to a provider is subject to that provider’s retention; see Subprocessors.
If you tried Glowwer without an account and never claimed the brand, its record and drafts become eligible for deletion about 7 days after it is created and are removed when our clean-up runs. Its image files in storage are not removed by that clean-up and may remain until we remove them by hand; ask and we remove them.
